Join Andy Squiff from Inspiral Flowstate for an immersive experience in the beautiful space of the Biscuit Tin at the Reading Biscuit Factory where we will explore the power of Qi Gong energy flow and Soma breathwork. This in-person event will guide you through techniques to unlock your body's natural ability to heal and energize and connect with the power of the breath. Discover the transformative effects of breathwork and take away some simple tips to change the way you breathe to help you manage emotions and stress in everyday life.
I will be bringing fresh spring water collected from the earth in the Forest of Dean, we will unite the life force energy of water and the life force energy of your breath to guide you on a journey of healing and transformation.
We will begin with some gentle qi gong warm-ups, connecting with the breath to bring your attention from the head and awaken the body, this will prepare the body and mind for the breathwork session. I will share some breathing tips for stress management and balance that can be used every day and will also explain the benefits of the Soma breath practice before we begin. Soma Breath is based on ancient pranayama techniques which includes a guided meditation, rhythmic breathing to music and breathholds and chanting to take you into deep states of relaxation, transformation and bliss. Modern research has revealed many physical and psychological benefits to these ancient practices so if you are struggling with stress or anxiety, low moods or physical inbalance or if you just want to experience something unique this session is for you.
I invite you to bring an intention to focus on during the practice, something you wish to change or improve in your life. Maybe you want to let go of negative beliefs or old stories that no longer serve you, or maybe you want to stop procrastinating and start to live the life you feel you truly deserve, breathwork is a powerful tool to clear blockages and bring clarity to the journey ahead.
After the breathwork session we will take the blissful energy into some more qi gong energy flow movements to allow you to really connect with yourself and feel your own vital life force energy.
You'll need loose fitting, comfortable clothes and comfortable flat shoes (you could also do in socks or bare feet) to allow movement in qi gong, a bottle of water or container/cup for the Forest Spring Water (supplied), a blanket, a yoga matt or sleeping bag for the breathwork, you' will be laying or sitting still for approx 40 mins.
It is best to eat at least an hour before the session so that you are not experiencing the breathwork with a full stomach.
contraindications: Breathing in beats is safe for anyone. And can be beneficial for ALL individuals.
DO NOT DO EXHALE BREATH RETENTION if you have any of the following:
COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease )[Emphysema, bronchitis etc]
Critical diseases or infections
Heart conditions, pacemaker, or irregular heart-beat
Organ failure
Late-stage terminal illness
Pregnancy
Epilepsy
